The Grand Escape Downtown Canmore

We had a wonderful week here in Canmore in a fabulous apartment. The decor, fittings and appliances were all high spec. Positive: The decor and fittings were of a high standard. Great location.

The Property is essentially part of a supermarket and other stores, upon arriving there was no parking and I learned later that I would need to put a construction cone to block others from parking in my space.The entrance is Dark and has an unpleasant odor.The Elevator is dirty the carpet in the Elevator is very dirty and stained and smells like an old grease ( bad impression from word go)The Air conditioning system was clogged with dirt and the Apartment was very hot . The owner had a service company come 2 days later and they said it was fixed but it was still very warm 75-78 degrees each day.The service people also unclogged the bathroom sink that was partially stuffed up.Overall it’s an OK place I had expected something nicer and more comfortable.The owner was kind and responsive, I just did not want to be involved with property maintenance and wanted to enjoy my vacation and family.I personally would not book it again , perhaps my standards are too high. This was an incredible stay. The home was clean and a great set up for our family. We felt instantly comfortable in the home and you really can’t beat the walkability to the grocery store and other store and Main Street. Our family has already decided that we will book again!
